(Nov.) Acting on a report that a man was recently seen digging in the park, police recover $1,125, the exact amount stolen in a robbery at Hews & Co. Jewelers two weeks earlier. The Boston Herald subsequently suggests that the “discovery” was a publicity stunt staged by city Marshal Francis Tukey.
